Serious Seeds Regular

The breeder behind Serious Seeds, Simon, is responsible for the material sold by the seed bank. He studied biology at one of the universities in Amsterdam and was always a non smoker. (Tobacco, and therefore also marihuana because in Holland it is common practice to mix the latter with 'tobacco', and roll a joint.) He only discovered the merits of smoking pure marihuana after his study while travelling through Africa in 1986. Today he remains one of the few dutch who smoke this wonderplant in its pure form as one should.*
From that moment on he started collecting seeds. Back in Holland he immediatly started growing those seeds out for personal pleasure.

Crossing what he thought were the best plants seemed a natural follow up. Contacts with other growers gave him access to different plants from which he also selected the best ones. The genetic background of this material was not always clear.

Simon taught biology at a highschool when Alan Dronkers asked him to come and work at Sensi Seeds. It was quite a career change to do that but he never felt sorry about it. After some time working for Sensi he left and started a seed company with some American pot refugees.
That year (1994) the AK-47, as well as the 'Chronic', .won prices at the American Cannabis
AK-47 did strike again!!
In the dec 2003 issue of High Times magazine the AK-47 was chosen as plant of the year!! In the Cannabis Cup competition in 2003 the AK-47 won the 2nd place in the indica cata- gory.
The indica-cup??
Yes the indica cup. And that while AK is classified as more sativa, how is that? Well, if you take track of sativa/indica% over multiple generations and make a nice calculation you have an exact nr. with even 1/2 %. But that's on paper and real life is not that predictable.Imagine for example that during your breeding proces you choose from each generation the shortest, fattest, mostly kick-ass plants for next parents all the time.  Indeed, the % stays the same whatever plants you choose but the plants effect and looks will be more what we call indica like. Such is the case more or less.
Last years cup there were reversed entries al- ready, clear sativas in the indica category. And since AK is more approprietly described as an indica type of effect we decided to enter it under indica. But it needs a story to explain that and here you have it.

Magus Genetics Biddy's Sister (10 seeds)

After a successful trail year we are now proud to present: Biddy’s “little” Sister.

A half sibling to the already well known and praised Biddy Early, but because of the short stature that she inherited from her Indica dominant father, more suitable for an indoor S.O.G. style of growing.

However, when grown with a long vegetative period or outdoors, excellent hybrid vigour ensures she will not stay little at all despite the limited stretch in flowering.

When planted early May she will become a giant bush with a height up to 2.5 metres and lateral branching that can reach almost as high as the main stalk.

The main stalk is big enough to be worthy of the term trunk, but sadly the branches are rather brittle and can easily brake/tear at the nodes when exposed to strong winds, especially when they carry heavy buds later in the season,.

This will not be any problem when growing at a location where it’s easy to provide extra support like a in a back-yard, but for guerrilla farmers this might be a little problematic.

She will develop a strong but pleasantly sweet aroma very early in life, so expect to “enjoy” that aspect well before flowering.

Some of the sweetness will come through in the taste as well, but is dominated by a rather minty taste, somewhat similar to good quality blonde Moroccan hashish.

The effect is a pleasant body relaxing stone, potent enough, but not devastating strong.

Pedigree: Early Skunk x Sensi Star

Outdoor harvest: September/October
