Delving into the 30 year old Dutch Passion genebank, Freddy created a 3-way cross between Chocolope, Dutch Haze and a special, unnamed Sativa. Freddy’s Best is a mostly Sativa variety that is easy to grow with a generous crop of large round buds which are dense and especially full of resin. Freddy’s connoisseur taste targets were met with a unique aroma and delicious flavours with hints of cocoa as well as earthy scents, with a sweet and spicy taste.
Freddy’s best has a fantastically intense, clear and long lasting high. This is a true connoisseurs delight that will also appeal to commercial growers due to the heavy yields. Freddy’s best can be grown indoors or in a greenhouse and is a fitting tribute to a remarkable man.

These days many strains are bred with yield as an understandably important consideration, but not Dark Delight. Dark Delight is a strain of pure indulgence for the connoisseur. This is an Indica dominant feminised strain that has been bred with the sole goal of producing the finest sensimilla possible. The strain took an exotic multi-blend of North American, Afghanistan and European genetics to give this 75% Indica/25% Sativa strain which produces an exquisite and fantastic ganja.
The plants grow up to 1.5m and produce dense bud in medium quantities with very few leaves making her easy to trim. The leaves take on a dark appearance which is how she got the name. Some leaves can be nearly black towards the end of the 8-10 week flowering period. Outdoors or in greenhouses she is ready around the middle of October. Dark Delight is ideally suited to indoor and greenhouse production though it will perform well outdoors at southerly latitudes.
Dark Delight burns with a rich thick aroma which will remind you of the best Mujahideen Afghani hash from the 1980's. You experience a smooth, mellow and satisfying stone with long lasting effects. The smoke is a delightful one, and that is where the second part of the name comes from. We consider Ortega Indica a medicinal cannabis variety. Ortega Indica is a hybrid of Northern Lights #1 and another strong Indica, both dating back to the late seventies. Extremely penetrating odour/aroma: earthy, spicy and tobacco.
Our seven-person test team reported that Ortega Indica is a good variety to smoke before going to sleep, a feature present in all Indica strains, but more extreme in Ortega Indica. It works as an effective sleeping pill and tranquilizer.
Ortega Indica is special in that it’s "stone/high" does not have a cloudy "morning after effect". In other words, the morning after smoking Ortega Indica, almost no cannabis effects are experienced any more. Smoke Ortega Indica and wake up with a clear mind. This is seldom the experience after taking sleeping pills or tranquilizers. Ortega Indica plants stay small (dwarf-like) and compact and are quite homogenous. The stoned/high is medium strong. This acclaimed new addition to the Dutch Passion family is a particularly potent indoor/greenhouse strain with an incredible soaring sativa high, using pure genetics directly from the Laos/Vietnam jungle area. The main features of this special strain are the incredible ‘happy and smiley’ sativa stone and the high yields associated with the huge growth potential.
Our smoke test team gave this a top-class rating, an old school ‘retro’ high with a great herbal taste. It has a refreshing aroma and a notable long lasting clean ‘up’ high that clears the mind and completely relaxes the body. The high is good for socialising as well as creativity.

For the creation of Dutch Cheese ( 60% Sativa, 40% Indica) our breeders took the best cheese genetics and crossed them with various other strains. We were looking for the ‘perfect match’, where two stable strains can be crossed to give a new variety that improves on both of the parents. The ideal genetics to improve Cheese eventually came from our “Euforia” - a potent Skunk selection and a personal favorite of some of the Dutch Passion team.
The crossbreeding with Euforia has not compromised the cheesy qualities at all. But it has given improved potency and significant yield improvements, growing to a height of 60-80cm with lots of sticky side buds that show some internodal spacing that will help prevent bud rot/mould – an important feature for a heavy-yielding variety. La Lybella is a 90 % sativa variety. Its characteristics are a great addition to our seed collection.
La Lybella is an open plant with many well developed buds. The spicy scent makes this variety a pleasant smoke. The clear, energizing up high makes you want to move! Don’t use La Lybella before going to sleep. Heavy THC accumulation starts the fourth week of flowering. Give seedlings at least two weeks of 18-hour days before flowering for maximum yield. Medium yield of excellent sativa indoors. Little trimming. Outdoors till late October (pest resistant). Grown outdoor in the Mediterranean La Lybella stands for a superior Sativa yield.

Jorge's Diamond is a unique resin-packed indica-dominant strain that is potent, sweet, flavorful and incredibly smooth smoking. The rare indica-dominant genes are mixed with just the right amount of sativa to give the smoke a very strong soaring long-lasting high. The exceptional taste and aroma are fruity and sweet. After an absence of 10 years Dutch Passion are pleased to announce the return of Night Queen . Night Queen was an original 1980’s Dutch Passion classic, around even before Dutch Passion became a registered seed company. Our 1987 catalogue describes Night Queen as a broadleaved Afghani Indica which was popular with hardcore stoners for the intense body stone. We upgraded Night Queen in 1997 but sales dropped as growers opted for the newer strains and hybrids which were being introduced at the time. Reluctantly Night Queen was withdrawn from our collection.
We have had many requests to bring Night Queen back and so we did. Our goal was to re-create an Indica which would meet the world class standards achieved by our multiple award winning Mazar. The outcome was a crystal covered, fast early flowering and typically indica variety which is easy to grow and resistant to pests and fungus. The new Night Queen is forgiving and very easy to take cuttings from, a perfect mother plant. She is short and will suit indoor growers looking at SOG/SCROG techniques. The name is an accurate one since most of the plants are a very dark green, almost black. The females are quite special, dark, beautiful and with heavy harvests of frosty, hard and dense bud growth – these are real Queens. High THC and CBD levels will appeal to medical growers, as will the very generous yields of over 500grams/m² under good conditions.
Night Queen is one of those rare genuine hash-plant smokes, a rich Afghani Indica heritage producing highly potent resin-frosted bud. Night Queen is a heavy yielder with all the earthy aromas you hope for in a top quality marijuana strain with the addition of some spicy flavours that the old-timers and connoisseurs will savour. The top class body stone remains a key feature of Night Queen, this is a second chance to get the best ever version of a 1980’s classic which is on the same high-end quality level as Mazar.
SnowBud is our second “High Altitude” variety. SnowBud is a hybrid of Afghani and South African genetics. As with Pamir Gold the selection work is done in the Swiss Alpes. SnowBud (60% Sat./ 40% Ind.) has a spicy (cinnamon), skunky smell and taste, smokes very smooth and has a medium “up high”. Healthy plants may reach 1.8 till 2.2 meters outdoors. Mold and mildew resistant. Yield: above average. Does also well indoors.The name SnowBud refers to the huge amount of white pistils in the female flowers (buds).

Pamir Gold originated in the western Himalayas of Tadzjikistan. The plant was adapted to the high altitudes of the Swiss Alpes during several years of selective breeding. Once selected seeds were reproduced in the Netherlands. Pamir Gold is a mostly Indica variety (60% - 40%) having a sweet earthy taste with a breath of lemon and pear. Healthy plants are 1.5 to 1.8 meters in height outdoors. Mold and mildew resistant. Yield: above average. Does also well indoors. Subtile stone/high.
